I’m confused about this sentence. Is there perhaps an exception involving the word “paia” or is the explanation more involved? Nouns following the word “qualche” are normally in the singular. “Paia” is the plural of “paio.” Shouldn’t the word here be “paio”? Yet, when I plug this sentence into Google translate, it comes up “paia.”
Ciao @hab638 come stai? Interestingly the madrelingua in our club tell me that “qualche paio” is correct. I was convinced it was “paia” since that is what two translators gave me but I was wrong. Hope this helps. (You are more than welcome to join us, by the way).
Edit: Here’s a little more about qualche:
Una volta/qualche volta (sing.)
Due/tre/quattro volte (plur.)
