I’m hearing the same, but then the pronunciation always sounds a bit strange to me these days, since I tend to listen to a faster version by default. Generally when I listen to things at half speed, they do seem to be correct.
I had already moved onto the next sentence, before noticing/checking the comments on this one, but from the overview (where I guess it plays at “normal” speed), I’m also hearing “casi”.
Listened again. Yes, Giorgio does seem to be saying casi di. Naughty Giorgio!
