The English translation is wrong. It should be: He is very amusing. Very “fun” is not English.

Although I didn’t mention it in the previous thread, I seem to recall finding discussions on the internet that indicated that it was acceptable to a lot of speakers of American English, but sounded incorrect or odd to most/many speakers of British English.
