English Translation
I need to buy a new boot.
Strange. In England we buy a new pair of boots not single boot. Just another example of the rubbish translations presented by Clozemaster!

The German sentence does in fact specifically speak of one single boot, not a pair of boots.
Although it sounds strange to English ears who are used to speaking of pairs (pair of glasses/jeans/boots/…), it is indeed an accurate translation.
It seems you are doing the Fast Fluency Track. That is very new and does indeed still have some quality issues that need to be ironed out. Given how new it is, I think that’s forgivable. I recommend you do the “100/500/1000/2000/… most common words” collections instead. They’ve been around for much longer and are a bit more ironed out. I think you’ll enjoy them more.
