How can I turn off sound?

I am using the phone app, and cannot find how to turn off the sound.

Try the following:

  1. Start a game.
  2. When the first question comes up, click the Settings icon in the top right.
  3. You should now be able to turn off the sound effects and text-to-speech.

On a somewhat-related note, it would be nice if I could toggle these options without having to first start a game.

Thanks. I was looking everywhere without starting one.
Also, this seems to only effect this language, but the others still have sound. Is there no way to turn off the sound for them all at once?

I don’t think there is, but maybe someone else can tell us if we’ve missed something.
