Why is it not “irgendeinen”? Also, what’s the difference between “irgendein” and “irgendwelcher”?
“irgendein” is for neuter and “irgendeinen” is for masculine “Gummi”. Both are valid, it’s a regional difference.

I feel that “irgendwelcher” is more like “some/any sort/kind of”, rather than just “any”.

thanks for sharing the link, @pitti42 … learned something new today, I always thought Gummi is neuter throughout whole Germany.
