English attitude is atteggiamento in Italian , way of thinking or seeing. Italian attitudine is the predisposition towards particular activities or aptitude in English. So, atteggiamento verso la vita. ( But to think of it, to have an aptitude for life as in the archaic meaning of it for suitability or fitness ,is not a bad idea!) .
