Would you please take a seat?
The translation for this one originally said “Would you please take a ••chair••?”
but the Tagalog sentence is literally “Would you like to sit down please/sir/ma’am?” (in that ‘polite command/request’ sense of “would you…”—as e.g. ushers would say to make sure everyone is in their seats by the time the curtain goes up on a performance … it’s not a question).
“Take a chair” is not an idiomatic expression in English; it cannot be used to mean anything other than literally grabbing a chair off of a stack/pile of chairs. “Take a seat”, on the other hand, is the familiar idiomatic expression for “sit down” / “be seated”.
Since this one is so simple, I just went ahead and fixed the translation from “take a chair” to “take a seat”.
