Is replacing “Gib” with “Fügt” also natural sounding? Also, ‘Füg’ and ‘Fügen Sie’ (same concept).

Both “hinzugeben” and “hinzufügen” mean “to add something”, but “hinzugeben” is more common in a culinary context:

I think “Füge ein wenig Milch hinzu” would be understood, but would be less common in a cooking context. When cooking, “hinzugeben”, “dazugeben”, or even just “geben” are more common.
