Ciao. No, I don’t think so. Pretty sure “finché non” (as long as) takes the Indicative. I refer to a massive list collated over the years that comes in very handy;-)
As always, happy to be corrected.
My understanding is that finché is used with the indicative mood in an exclamatory context.
The mood would be subjunctive in French and Spanish, so rather counterintuitive indeed.
