Russian Translation
Всё было именно так, как я и думал.
Should be “Everything was exactly as I had thought it would be.”
Всё было именно так, как я и думал.
Should be “Everything was exactly as I had thought it would be.”
Both sentences are fine. Or even… “Everything was exactly as I thought it would be.”
I don’t know any Russian…just saying Clozemaster uses free translations and both English examples: yours and the CM translation work fine, as does mine. I eliminated “had”, but its technically ok to use it. All 3 mean exactly the same, hence a free translation versus word-for-word translation.
Agreed, in the English sentence, the first “as” doesn’t belong.
