ET, telefono casa.

This was pronounced as “et” (which was the cloze word in this specific instance of the sentence I’m currently playing), as if it were an Italian word, rather than two letters.

I was curious how it would have been pronounced anyway in the dubbed version of the film, and it turns out they just leave it at the English pronunciation “E.T.”:

Ciao Sindaco. Well I never. Interesting as well as nostalgic!

Many thanks for letting us know, and for showing us ET again;-D

English Translation

E.T. phone home.

That is silly and does not mean the standard of common vocabulary. That sentence should be deleted.

At the most I would put “ET, telefona a casa!” però sono d’accordo, Anxos.
