Being fat is a serious problem for me.
Why “grassi” as in plural?
Being fat is a serious problem for me.
Why “grassi” as in plural?
Essere grassi is an impersonal expression, which triggers the plural (masculine) form.
It doesn’t come naturally to me at all.
@morbrorper Thank u, at first I took it as the Subjunctive as it concerned emotion etc. I’ve now learnt something new.
But now I see that the English sentence has more Italian translations, using grasse / grassa / grasso as well. Is this another example of the translator covering all the bases?
Hmm, chissà chissà. My t/lator gives me “grasso” for this overweight sentence;-)
