Es müsste dort etwas geben für uns, über das wir sprechen sollten.

English Translation

There should be something for us to talk about.

Surely the verb ‘geben’ is in the wrong position. (?)

Yes, “für uns geben” would sound more natural.
But I don’t think noone would say that. I can imagine some people would.

What’s also strange is the “sollten” which is not directly expressed by the english sentence. I would use “können” there. Well, actually, “something to talk about” is not clear whether it is “can” or “should”.

Maybe avoid it altogether and say something a little closer to the original:

Es sollte dort etwas für uns zu besprechen geben.

I rarely see “über das”. Wouldn’t “darüber” be a more common and natural way of saying that?

In this sentence it should rather be “worüber”, because it is a relative clause.
It’s also the reason why “über das” works here.
