This is a two-verb passive construction, so “worden” is the auxiliary verb here, and as such it’s “worden” instead of “geworden”.
Wiktionary (worden - Wiktionary, the free dictionary) has an explanation in the Etymology section, and on the main “werden”-Page (werden - Wiktionary, the free dictionary), there is a Footnote in the conjugation table that says “As an auxiliary”.
“versuchen” is the main verb here, but it’s one of those whose participle does not appear with a “ge-” prefix. So this may contribute to the confusion.
