Why “das Schicksal”. Why not “Er glaubt an Wunder und Schicksal.”?
I think both work.
But Schicksal is another example of things that are more often used with an article in german where english doesn’t:
earth - die Erde
love - die Liebe
fate - das Schicksal
hell - die Hölle
heaven - der Himmel
I guess in the german mind there’s only one of each, and that’s why we use the definite article.
