In English you would say: “she waved at me”. It’s taken for granted that someone would wave their hand so the word “hand” is unnecessary.

In France, pre-Covid, I’d assume that people would greet each other by kissing each other on the cheek, between 2-4 times depending on which part of the country they’re in.
