Donne-moi un anneau si vous découvrez quelque chose.

Give me a ring if you find out anything.

Does the French match the translation here? To give someone a ring in English means, probably among other things, either “to call s.o. on the telephone” or “to give s.o. a ring” (as in, wedding ring). Does “anneau” also have these two connotations?

“Anneau” only means “ring” in the sense of “round object”. It does not mean “ring” in the sense of “sound of a bell” (or, by extension, “phone call”). I left a comment on the English sentence at Tatoeba.
