I have never heard this expression before.
“Directly he saw me”, yada yada yada.
Yes, a little odd. We would usually say “As soon as he saw me…”.

What can we do in such odd cases? Shall I report it or can we alter these as we do with translations?
Thanks for the fast response btw, I’m quite new to the community so I’m learning the ropes of this.
These small oddities happen, no language site is perfect but if I’m totally sure of the correct phrase I add my suggestion, eg “Better to say …” using the pen symbol.
I’m not sure if this option is open to everyone - can anyone else advise?

You can always use the red “Report Error” button to have it fixed for everyone. I’m enjoying very quick responses to my error reports in Spanish from English.
No, but you can create a new cloze in your own collection, with the wording you prefer. Then you can ignore the faulty cloze.
