English Translation
He has grown senile recently.
Is via più some sort of idiom? There’s nothing on Wiktionary.

Ciao @morbrorper - this feels odd. My only thinking is that “via più” here means “Recently he has aged *way more” although my t/lator gives me “Recently he has [aged away] more”.
Or it could be “Recentemente lui è invecchiato via DI più” - he has aged more and more.
At the end of the day, I would have written “Recentemente è diventato molto più vecchio”. Dopotutto, senile is “senile”.
Come in @mike-lima
I have never seen or heard “via più”, I suppose it is some alternate spelling of “vieppiù” (way more, more and more):
Even in its common form, “vieppiù” is not really used in everyday speech anymore, you may find it in old books or movies.
Mille grazie Mike-lima.
