Confused by this one…Is the ETT really needed? It seems to be like an incomplete thought, in this format. Like it should be “this is a genius idea”
It is required. It’s the same syntax as in “Detta är en läkare/lärare/galning”.

Still confused - but now in a diff way. I can see that you would perhaps show a picture and say “this is a doctor”. But it feels a bit clunky to say “this is a genius” - would you not say “he/she is a genius”?. Although, as I’m typing, I’m almost talking myself around.
Is it just me?
