English Translation
The room was conditioned for comfort.
Existing translation: “The room was conditioned for comfort.”
I wonder whether “The room was designed for comfort” would be a better translation.
The English sentence is phrased very weirdly. I wonder if they meant “air conditioned for comfort” (because without air conditioning, the heat would have made it uncomfortable). If they didn’t have air conditioning in mind, then the use of the word “conditioned” is very weird and your proposal is better.
If they meant air conditioning, I would say:
“Das Zimmer (better: Der Raum) war zwecks Komfort klimatisiert.”
“zwecks” means “for the purpose of”.
