As far as I see, yes, “asunto” only means “business” in the sense of “affair/matter”.
But german “Geschäft” cannot be used in the sense of “something you shouldn’t poke your nose into”.
It only means “business” as in “way to make money” or “commercial activity”, or even “shop”.
If you want to say “It’s none of your business” in german, it’s for example “Das geht dich nichts an”.
Or in this case: “That’s his business.” → “Das geht nur ihn (et)was an.”
