Blow me down!

This one’s a bit weird… there is an expression in German “der Teufel soll sie holen”, which means (roughly) “to hell with them”, but in this Clozemaster sentence, the speaker is saying it about himself. The suggested English is very old fashioned, perhaps even archaic. “Blow me down” is old pirate speak, and I haven’t heard it much since the old Popeye the Sailor Man cartoons when I was a kid.
