Really enjoying it so far but quite confused by these numbers?
I have 37 of 100 on the way to 200 for common 200? What is 100 vs 200?
Then 74 of 100 on the way to 800 for common 100? What is 100 vs 800?
I also seem to be stuck on common 100. They re only showing the mastered ones so I’m not getting past 74 which is why I opened common 200.
You’re in one of two possible views. You might want to switch to the other view.
These sentence collections all have thousands of sentences. So impatient people started complaining that they don’t see themselves making progress (fast enough). See this discussion: Is Clozemaster boring? They were unhappy that it took them days and weeks of practice for the progress number to change by only 0.1%.
To appease impatient folks, the Clozemaster developers implemented this view you’re seeing. They broke the thousands of sentences into chunks of 100 sentences. That way, the (vanity) numbers go up faster.
You’re currently playing 774 sentences in the 100 word collection and need 26 more to reach 800 (of the thousands) sentences. By which time it will change to 900. The 100 sentence chunks never change.
Thanks very much. So basically I have 1544 sentences to play and the 774 represents 74 of the 8th hundred.
That said, I haven’t been able to progress past 774, whenever I press play, I just get mastered sentences. Am I stuck in a loop or need to switch a setting to get to the rest?
I currently have due date, oldest first? So am I just overdue for a big heap of words?
You can set the max number of reviews in that same place (Max reviews per round when playing new sentences). So think about how many you do at a time. If you do 20 sentences at a time, you can set the max number of reviews to 10 or whatever. Then you probably would do 10 reviews and 10 new words.
