Che persona meravigliosa che è suo fratello

“What a wonderful person your brother is”.

Ciao! Am I missing something grammatically interesting here or is it actually “his brother is”. Mille grazie per qualsiasi consiglio.

Ciao @Floria7! As far as I can see, it can mean both, which is so often the case with Italian formal address.

In this particular case, Tatoeba shows that this is a direct translation, by a native, from English: Che persona meravigliosa che è suo fratello! - Italian example sentence - Tatoeba

Ciao morbrorper, grazie. I so often stumble with the third person or informal (having graduated from the more simple Duolingo;-) but think I’m getting there. Your input always helps. Ciao🖐️
