Out of curiosity, I looked up the sentence on Tatoeba, and sure enough, it was made by sacredceltic. He has an alternative translation: “Ce n’est même pas la partie la pire”; which sounds very stilted to me, but then I never learnt French properly.

Is he well known? I checked his profile page on Tatoeba and it’s unclear to me whether he’s a native speaker of French. From what I understand, he may be, and apparently he is currently living is Belgium.
Anyway… You know how sometimes native speakers might disagree on a translation because 2 or 3 options are actually used by native speakers? Stuff like: different from vs. different than, like vs. as if, I demand that he should be vs. I demand that he be…
Well… It is not the case here, and I would also be very surprised if either of those translations was actually used in Belgian French.
I don’t want to sound disrespectful, but to me, both translations sound like automated/machine translations, back when those weren’t too great…
I’ll say no more than that he’s very prolific and seldom goes for the most obvious translation. He’s behind a large part of Clozemaster’s French corpus sourced from Tatoeba, which is why I stopped learning French on Clozemaster, after coming across too many dubious translations.

I see he’s still very much active on Tatoeba, and after reading some of his comments over there, it looks like he may in fact be a native speaker.
I still stand by what I said above, and if I am wrong about these translations being automated, then I guess God is not the only one who works in mysterious ways…
