Best way to practice translating sentences into language being learned?

Have people found good ways to practice generating sentences for a language being learned? (Sort of reverse of what Clozemaster is designed for.)

My native language is English and I want to practice translating English sentences into Spanish sentences.

I just tried:

1. Adding a new English/Spanish pairing (instead of my usual Spanish/English),
2. Using the Manage Sentences dialog to traverse the first 40 sentences or so of the Fast Track Level 1 collection,
3. Copying sentences into a new collection (using Managing Sentences) that I was poor at translating,
4. Playing the new collection in Listening mode.

This works OK except that creating the collection is a little clunky (doesn’t look like I could just favorite the ones I want to add to a new collection instead of adding them one-by-one) and there’s no way to edit out clozes (which is to be expected) so I don’t have to bother with English input.

I suppose I could export the sentences and munge them into some sort of flashcard app. But I really like working in the Clozemaster environment.

It looks like the English and Spanish Fast Track Level 1 collections might be the same (albeit, reversed). If so, that would be great! (Great for practicing translating sentences in both directions for essentially one collection.)

P.S. I’m pretty new to this forum. Sorry if I’m asking about a well-covered subject. I did some searches, but I’m not sure what terms to use.

Hello. Here is what I would do:

1. Go to All languages.
2. Choose this pairing: I speak Español/ Learning English (English from Español)
3. Choose a colection and play it. Focus on the translation when doing so. The sentences are directly translated from English, so this is a plus.
   Also, play the Hands Free option. You can customize it like this: 1. Sentence (English) then 2. Translation.

OR

You could use the other pairing, but then the order is reversed, meaning the Spanish sentences are translated into English. However, you can choose this order in the Hands Free radio section: 1. Translation 2. Sentence

Playing in the browser, there is a new game setting, Sentence Text Initially Hidden, which I have long requested. This means you can now attempt to translate the entire sentence in your mind before focusing at the cloze at hand. Thank you very much, @mike ! There is a glitch though: the buttons to switch to multiple choice and to show the first letter are not disabled; pressing either button leads to a blank page.
