Beginner - Review Method

I’m currently learning Brazilian Portuguese And have been focused on Vocabulary - Text Input.

If I absolutely don’t have a clue I’ll do hint and then multiple choice/ Teach Me.

Should I instead be focusing on learning a certain number of words instead to start? Such as the first 100…500…1000? Then go back to Fast Track Sentences?

Part of my issue with listening, speaking is that obviously I don’t know so many words.

Any advice on how to review is appreciated…

Hello @ProtocolOmega and welcome. When I started here I set a reasonable target and just explored the various Collections, completing say five or ten words from each, until I got used to the system, then I started using the Favourites option and so on. However, I had a reasonable knowledge of Italian already so don’t want to give you the wrong advice. I think we all have our own way of learning here so take it slowly and you’ll find yours.

Thank you :pray:t2: I appreciate the response :hugs:

I have seen you post on here quite a bit. I am also learning Italian. how have you noticed clozemaster has helped your fluency if at all? what play modes have you been using?

Ciao. So you’re learning Italian too, that’s good news. My weakness is Listening (like all of us I expect) so I reach my target doing Hard mode, then swap to Easy mode to add a few new words, mostly from grammar Collections, eg the Subjunctive, or In a Restaurant. I prefer to pick and mix from all Collections and always repeat my answers out loud.

I think my Italian has improved considerably, having moved on from Duolingo, mainly because Clozemaster is straightforward, enjoyable learning with no frillls to distract. I also read a lot of Italian books - I might not understand every word but it helps with sentence construction and flow. Hope this helps.
