I have the impression that, with the introduction of the new “Today’s plan” the logic behind the sentence selection has changed. Basically, what I have noticed, is that collections don’t get mixed (as I think it was previously), which brings up 2 issues:
-
Seasion length. If I want to do a 20 sentence long review session, but I have, say, 2 collections, and each of them has only 15 sentences to review, I will get a firt session of the first collection, a review screen at the end for that session, and then another 15 sentence session. Which kind of defeats the purpose of me setting “20” as the number of reviews I want to do in “today’s plan”
-
Session variety. What I have been doing up until now (and I would like to be able to keep doing) is to work on new sentences within a collection individually (that is, not mixed with other collections), but review all pending sentences, mixed up, so that I have to think about each sentence. If the review groups them by collection, since I have the “verbs” or “prepositions” collection going on, when I start one of those, I already know that all the blanks will need to be filled with that type of word, which simplifies the exercice quite a bit
Additionally, I just found out the button disappears once the daily goal is reached, which is a bummer. I wanted to try the flashcards mode, and so I deselected a couple of collections, so that only one were I had two sentences was used. Completed the round (and the daily goal) and now the button has disappeared, which means that, to be able to review sentences, I need to go collection by collection…
