Congratulations! Good job!
Congrats! That must feel so satisfying. Just curious - do you remember how many you started with? I am curremtly at 8750, from about 13K that I started with after a year of break. I have several collections that I used to do, thus so many reviews. and now I have switched to the new FFT, so reviews coming up from new collections as well. My goal is to get to zero, or close-to-zero reviews in 6 months or so. Wish me luck!
I had over 4000 due, but then I also added quite a few new clozes, rather than just focusing on the ones I had already practiced. Good luck tackling your reviews! I have recently discovered that it pays to go into “Manage Sentences” and then “Search” for those clozes that have proven “Difficult”–that is, those that you have already repeated a bunch of times and still haven’t mastered. If you don’t intentionally nail those sentences down, they just keep cycling through and slow you down a lot.
That is a brilliant strategy! I will use that, especially for the legacy FFT where I keep seeing the same sentences because I just can’t remember certain, more obscure words. How do you “nail down” those sentences? Do you have a method that works well for you?
I think just being aware of those specific problem sentences is half the battle. In Anki app they call them “leeches.” Sometimes I will look up words I can’t remember to learn their etymology – any kind of trivia I can hook them to.
