@Daniel42
As you pointed out, the Clozemaster’s transcribed pronunciation doesn’t match the Clozemaster TTS. The worse part is… both are incorrect.
家 in this sentence should be いえ, not か. Pronunciation か is used only in compound words such as 小説家 (しょうせつか = novelist) and 家内 (かない = a wife (in an old-fashioned way)). Try Google Translate’s TTS by typing “昨日メアリーは一日中、家にいた。” with a 読点 (、) inserted. GT’s TTS for this corrected sentence pronounces properly.
Clozemaster’s TTS mistakenly splits the sentence into きのう / メアリ―は / いち / にっちゅう / かに / いた. 日中 (にっちゅう) refers to “daytime”. But “all day long” should be pronounced as 一日中 (いちにちじゅう).
We usually prefer using 漢数字 over 算用数字 in 全角 when the number is not countable or incremental. In other words, there are no phrases such as 2日中, 3日中, and so on. The original sentence is sourced from the notorious Tanaka Corpus via Tatoeba. I don’t know why but some Tatoeba admins and corpus maintainers obsessively use 算用数字 in 全角. But I strongly object their internal rule. For more information about this issue, please read my previous comment.
